We are currently recruiting a Data and Analytics lead. This is a newly created, strategic position, offers the unique opportunity to guide the data and analytics function through the maturity curve. You will be responsible for shaping the company’s overall data vision, infrastructure and culture. You will play a crucial role in driving actionable insights, understanding customer behaviour – single or multiple countries, flow of goods, complexity, others, and enhancing the overall portfolio experience.

 

You will be supporting a range of activities such as but not limited to set up and maintain the data governance, managing internal and external stakeholders, define use cases and ensure reporting that provide actionable insights. This diverse array of responsibilities provides a stimulating and dynamic environment, reflected in the daily tasks of the position.

 

We are recruiting a motivated and hands-on professional with approximately 10 years’ of relevant experience in the data and analytics arena who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and who likes to set up this interesting broad in-house role and who will report to the CFO and working closely with the CDO and third-party suppliers

 

CSG is currently embarking on a migration towards a fully Azure-native data environment, leveraging Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Power BI. The Data and Analytics lead will play a key role in leading this transformation and shaping the future technical landscape. As the data function is still in an early stage, you will not only be key to the construction of  the technical backbone but also be instrumental in fostering a data-driven culture across the organization.

Main tasks & responsibilities

 

·       Define use cases and key metrics with Executive Leadership Team and local management to set CSG for growth.

·       Set up and maintain a scalable data governance framework to ensure consistency, quality and security across decentralized entities.

·       Lead the data platform modernization, including the implementation of an Azure-native architecture with tools like ADF, Databricks and Power BI.

·       Coordinate with external suppliers in setting up CSG’s DWH.

·       Drive the development of a data-driven mindset throughout the organization by engaging business leaders and educating teams on the value of data and insights.

 

·       Create actionable insights from data and empower teams to make informed data-driven decisions.

Job requirements

·       Preferably an academic quantitative degree (MSc) in Econometrics/Economy, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science or another related field with a strong emphasis on quantitative analysis. 

·       Approximately 7+ years of relevant experience in data platform architecture, reporting and data strategy, ideally including experience in building modern cloud-native environments.

·       Familiarity with Microsoft Azure technologies (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI) is  required

·       Experience in Greenfield or low-maturity environments and a demonstrated ability to build data capabilities from scratch.

·       Fluent English both written and oral skills. Dutch or other languages are an advantage.

·       Experience of working within a multi-cultural organisation is desirable

·       Energetic, analytical, and have a drive to improve processes.

·       Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on mentality.

·       Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently and effectively with various stakeholders.

·       Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders at different levels of seniority.

·       Comfortable with dealing with ambiguity and turning this into practical solutions.
