Job description
Are you passionate about driving positive impact through sustainability? As a Sustainability Coordinator, you will support the Chief Trade Operations & Compliance Officer in shaping and executing our group-wide ESG strategy and CSRD compliance. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on implementation, contributing directly to our corporate responsibility and societal impact goals.
Purpose of the Role:
This position exists to support the Chief Trade Operations & Compliance Officer with driving the company’s sustainability agenda;
With this role you will actively contribute to the development and implementation of the group’s ESG strategy, CSRD and other potential group sustainability requirements;
Your work has a direct impact on society. You like to contribute to solving social issues; corporate sustainability.
This role requires a good understanding of corporate sustainability matters, combined with the ability to translate strategy into action.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage the company’s ESG data platform, working closely with ESG data contributors across the business to ensure high-quality, accurate, and representative data;
Produce the company’s annual ESG reports and support other internal and external reporting needs;
Drive and expand the Green Ambassador program to promote employee engagement and action on sustainability;
Review the current company’s sustainability plan and develop new sustainability initiatives where possible;
Monitor and coordinate sustainability initiatives at group and country level;
Develop a group-wide carbon reduction strategy, including measurable targets and a pathway to net zero;
Lead CSRD compliance efforts, including data collection and reporting;
Develop a sustainability intro for newly acquired companies and (new) employees;
Contributes to different stakeholders information requests with respect to the company’s sustainability footprint (shareholders, auditors, customers, financial institutions, etc);
Identifies if company can obtain additional sustainability certifications/awards (where possible) and contributes to obtaining such certifications;
Assists with quarterly reporting to group shareholder and company’s audit committee;
Participates and engages with ESG roundtable;
Job requirements
Skills & Experience:
Fluent English speaker/writer with other language skills a plus.
Academic combined with practical experience in corporate sustainability;
Comfortable with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Proactive, organized and dynamic;
Team player who is also comfortable working independently.
